ADSL-2401

ADSL modem-router for industrial applications

Introduction

The MuLogic ADSL-2401 is an ADSL2+ modem-router with a 10/100baseT Auto-MDI/MDIX Ethernet port.

The modem is designed for industrial applications and can be powered from any 9 to 36 Volts or 18 to 60 Volts power source.

Features

  • DSL modem supports standards for ADSL, ADSL2 and ADSL2+
  • Versions for Annex A (PSTN) and Annex B (ISDN).
  • Downstream rates up to 24 Mbit/s, upstream rates up to 1 Mbit/s.
  • Supports PPPoA, PPPoE, MPoA and CLIP network protocols.
  • 10/100baseT, Auto-MDI/MDIX Ethernet port.
  • Ethernet port supports TCP/IP, Modbus TCP and other IP protocols.
  • Built-in DHCP server.
  • NAT router for remote access to devices attached to Ethernet port.
  • Configuration via Web browser, Telnet and serial command port.
  • Isolated supply voltage input (ac and dc) for industrial applications.
  • Supply voltage: 9 to 36Vdc (10 to 26Vac) or 18 to 60Vdc (18to 42Vac).
  • Din-Rail or panel mounting.
  • Extended temperature range.

Application Areas

Remote applications
The ADSL-2401 is intended for remote access to IP based terminal units.
The modem-router enables high speed Ethernet communications to remote terminal units with Ethernet interface and other devices such as remote surveillance cameras.

Configuration and access control
The ADSL-2401.S can be controlled and configured in multiple ways:
  • Local serial command port.
  • Web browser via local Ethernet port.
  • Web browser via the DSL network.
  • Telnet via local Ethernet port.
  • Telnet via the DSL network.
Access restrictions can be set for both Telnet and HTTP access on both local LAN port or access via the DSL network.

Power supply
The ADSL-2401 modems are equipped with an internal galvanic isolated power supply. Three voltage ranges are available:
  • 9-36Vdc/10-26Vac.
  • 18-60Vdc/18-42Vac.
  • 18-72Vdc.
For mains power operation (100..240Vac) an external power adapter or power supply is used.

Extended temperature range
The modem can be used in many environments. It is suitable for operating at ambient temperatures ranging from -25°C to +70°C.
